We will have two 'official' conference trips: an afternoon and evening tour of the sand dunes in the Western Negev desert to see the plethora of sand loving species, and a day trip to the tallest mountain in our region, Mt. Hermon, with its endemic and near-endemic reptile fauna. Those arriving early can contact us about a potential unofficial pre-conference tour to the Burgin ruins area, to look for Mediterranean-biome species.
During the conference there will also be shorter tours to the Steinhardt Museum of Natural History, and to Tel Aviv University's Garden for Zoological Research.
Please if you intend to go on the tours (we think you will enjoy them very much!), bring good walking boots (more to protect yourselves from Cerastes and Montivipera than for arduous walking), sun-cream and hats.
